Just in case you live under a rock* and missed last year’s RBS 6 Nations, or you’ve forgotten what happened, or perhaps just fancy brushing up on your trivia to impress your friends down the pub, Accenture have put together this rather nifty little video.

As Official Technology Partner of the Championship, Accenture’s Analytics team are privy to some pretty interesting stats. Now, if you’re of the same opinion as Scott Johnson that, “Stats are like a bikini – they show a lot but not the whole thing,” then look away now.

But if you think it’s actually pretty interesting that in 2013 France conceded the fewest penalties (44) and beat the most defenders (81) but still came last; that Ireland only made nine line breaks; and that Italy gained the most metres (2099) – and you enjoy rousing background music with pounding drums – then have a watch of this:
