Rarely at TTT Towers, do we ever appreciate anything that comes out of the mouths of footballers.
Take Joey Barton and Robbie Savage inanely trying to provide insight into the England v Wales game as part of the BBC’s pitchside analysis last weekend. Dire.
Every now again though, there emerges from the roundball darkness, a little nugget, a gem if you will, of sheer brilliance. Rio Ferdinand is a rare thing in his no-nonsense approach to the game and his recent comments on his over-the-top, play-acting colleagues are a breath of fresh air:
After going to the Eng vs Wales rugby game..watching a footballer roll around after a little tap on the face as if poll axed is embarrassing

Bravo, Mr Ferdinand. Bravo.
