In the year of Rugby World Cup 2015, VisitEngland has launched a TV campaign aimed at raising the profile of England’s ‘green and pleasant land’.
Airing today for the first time on Channel 5, ITV and SKY, ‘Discover Your England’ has a strong rugby feel to it with cameos from former England rugby captain Martin Corry, England Rugby Head Coach Stuart Lancaster, former England women’s Rugby World Cup 2014 winner Maggie Alphonsi and Official Anthem Singer and million selling soprano Laura Wright.
With an projected Tournament impact of £2.2billion to the UK economy, the Advert is one of a number of projects being delivered by VisitEngland to help promote the enormous opportunities for the tourism sector and help stimulate and drive economic growth.
The advert showcases the variety of scenery on offer in England, with over 16 English destinations included, to encourage Brits and overseas guests to explore what makes a holiday or short break in England special for them. Alongside the words of ‘Jerusalem’ – synonymous with English rugby – the ad features iconic English attractions, landscapes and scenery from across the country, including snapshots of Hadrian’s Wall, Brighton, Yorkshire Dales, the Royal Crescent in Bath, Twickenham and more.
